What is it?

In performing an in vitro fertilization treatment, before embryo transfer , this preimplantation genetic diagnosis is suggested, which is dedicated to identifying chromosomal alterations that may occur in the embryo.

The benefit of this study increases the pregnancy rate and reduces spontaneous abortions as it allows selecting the best specimens for implantation. On the third day, a blastocyst biopsy is performed to perform the chromosomal analysis to determine the most suitable embryos to be implanted. It is a totally safe and widely used method, so it does not represent any danger to the embryos.
