Es normal sentir incertidumbre: ambos t\u00e9rminos suenan parecidos, pero no significan lo mismo. En <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/procrea.mx\/\"><b>Procrea<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> buscamos que tengas informaci\u00f3n clara y honesta desde el inicio, porque la decisi\u00f3n no se basa en \u201ccu\u00e1l es mejor\u201d, sino en qu\u00e9 t\u00e9cnica es la m\u00e1s adecuada para tu diagn\u00f3stico y tu historia. Si quieres una orientaci\u00f3n personalizada, puedes <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/procrea.mx\/contacto\/\"><b>agendar una consulta<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> con alguno de <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/procrea.mx\/cuerpo-medico\/\"><b>nuestros m\u00e9dicos<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h1><b>FIV o ICSI<\/b><b>: \u00bfcu\u00e1l es la diferencia real?<\/b><\/h1>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">En ambos casos, el objetivo es el mismo: lograr la fecundaci\u00f3n del \u00f3vulo en el laboratorio y acompa\u00f1ar el desarrollo embrionario para despu\u00e9s realizar una transferencia<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/procrea.mx\/servicios\/reproduccion-asistida\/tratamientos\/fertilizacion-in-vitro\/\"><b>FIV (Fertilizaci\u00f3n In Vitro)<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> convencional: el \u00f3vulo se coloca en contacto con una cantidad seleccionada de espermatozoides, y la fecundaci\u00f3n ocurre de forma \u201cnatural\u201d en el ambiente controlado del laboratorio.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/procrea.mx\/servicios\/reproduccion-asistida\/tecnicas\/inyeccion-intracitoplasmatica-icsi\/\"><b>ICSI (Inyecci\u00f3n Intracitoplasm\u00e1tica de Espermatozoide)<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: el embri\u00f3logo selecciona un espermatozoide y lo introduce directamente dentro del \u00f3vulo.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">En t\u00e9rminos simples: la diferencia est\u00e1 en c\u00f3mo se logra la fecundaci\u00f3n. Por eso, hablar de <\/span><b>ICSI o FIV<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> no es comparar \u201cmejor o peor\u201d, sino entender qu\u00e9 necesita cada paciente para aumentar la probabilidad de fecundaci\u00f3n en el laboratorio.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><b>\u00bfCu\u00e1ndo se considera FIV convencional?<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La FIV convencional suele considerarse cuando, tras una valoraci\u00f3n integral, el equipo m\u00e9dico estima que la interacci\u00f3n \u00f3vulo\u2013espermatozoide puede ocurrir de forma adecuada en el laboratorio. En general, puede ser una opci\u00f3n cuando:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El estudio seminal muestra par\u00e1metros que permiten una fecundaci\u00f3n esperada.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">No hay antecedentes de fallas previas de fecundaci\u00f3n.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El plan del tratamiento y la estrategia del laboratorio lo permiten, seg\u00fan el caso.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Aun as\u00ed, cada caso se eval\u00faa con detalle, porque un mismo resultado puede interpretarse distinto seg\u00fan el contexto cl\u00ednico y los antecedentes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><b>\u00bfCu\u00e1ndo se considera ICSI?<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ICSI puede ser especialmente \u00fatil cuando existe un factor que puede dificultar la fecundaci\u00f3n por FIV convencional. Se considera con frecuencia cuando:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hay factor masculino (baja concentraci\u00f3n, baja movilidad o alteraciones relevantes).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Se cuenta con una cantidad limitada de \u00f3vulos y se busca optimizar la posibilidad de fecundaci\u00f3n.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Existen antecedentes de baja o nula fecundaci\u00f3n en intentos previos.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Se utiliza semen obtenido por procedimientos espec\u00edficos (seg\u00fan indicaci\u00f3n androl\u00f3gica).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El plan incluye ciertas estrategias de laboratorio que requieren una fecundaci\u00f3n m\u00e1s controlada (de acuerdo con el criterio m\u00e9dico y del laboratorio).<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lo importante es mantener expectativas realistas: ICSI puede ayudar a lograr la fecundaci\u00f3n en situaciones seleccionadas, pero no garantiza embarazo. El embarazo depende de m\u00faltiples factores: calidad embrionaria, endometrio, salud general y el diagn\u00f3stico integral.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><b>\u00bfC\u00f3mo se decide entre <\/b><b>ICSI o FIV<\/b><b> en Procrea?<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La decisi\u00f3n se toma con base en una valoraci\u00f3n completa y en informaci\u00f3n que suele incluir:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Diagn\u00f3stico integral de fertilidad<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Incluye historia cl\u00ednica, edad reproductiva, reserva ov\u00e1rica, evaluaci\u00f3n uterina y estudio del semen.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Objetivo del ciclo y antecedentes<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">No es lo mismo un primer intento que un caso con tratamientos previos, p\u00e9rdidas gestacionales o fallos de implantaci\u00f3n.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Respuesta esperada a la estimulaci\u00f3n<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La cantidad de \u00f3vulos estimada y la respuesta del cuerpo al tratamiento pueden influir en la estrategia.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Criterio del laboratorio y seguridad del proceso<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La elecci\u00f3n tambi\u00e9n considera la experiencia del equipo y el plan m\u00e1s adecuado para ese ciclo en particular.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">En resumen: <\/span><b>ICSI o FIV<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> se decide caso por caso.
