400;\">El <\/span><span style=\"color: #995757;\"><b>S\u00edndrome de Ovario Poliqu\u00edstico<\/b><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> o tambi\u00e9n conocido como SOP es una de las alteraciones endocrinas m\u00e1s frecuentes, entre 5% y 10% de mujeres en edad reproductiva f\u00e9rtil lo presentan. Se cree que la predisposici\u00f3n gen\u00e9tica es uno de los factores que mayor influencia tienen para padecerlo, aunque tambi\u00e9n se relaciona con otras causas ambientales como la obesidad o la diabetes. Se caracteriza por un desequilibrio hormonal que causa un mal funcionamiento del ovario. <\/span><\/p><h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #0f3653;\"><strong>S\u00edntomas<\/strong><\/span><\/h3><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La m\u00e1s com\u00fan es el hiperandrogenismo, manifest\u00e1ndose principalmente con la aparici\u00f3n de vello corporal en lugares donde es com\u00fan de los varones, sin embargo, tambi\u00e9n puede existir alopecia, acn\u00e9 o cambio en la voz.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-7245efe8 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"7245efe8\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>De igual forma hay alteraciones menstruales debido a problemas con<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> la ovulaci\u00f3n, acompa\u00f1ado de infertilidad en 40% o 50% de los casos de S\u00edndrome Ovario Poliqu\u00edstico, igualmente aumenta el riesgo de abortos y complicaciones obst\u00e9tricas. En otros casos puede haber resistencia a la insulina, que se muestra con la aparici\u00f3n de <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">acantosis nigricans<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p><h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #0f3653;\"><strong>\u00bfPor qu\u00e9 se da?<\/strong><\/span><\/h3><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La FSH y la LH regulan la funci\u00f3n ov\u00e1rica, son producidas por la hip\u00f3fisis. Al llegar a la pubertad, las mujeres cuentan con alrededor de medio mill\u00f3n de \u00f3vulos, cada ciclo unos cuantos se van perdiendo, no todos ser\u00e1n aptos para ser fecundados, pero si hay algunos que alcanzan la maduraci\u00f3n, a medida que estos crecen producen pasan de producir andr\u00f3genos a estr\u00f3genos, los estr\u00f3genos favorecen la proliferaci\u00f3n del endometrio y la progesterona lo estabiliza e impide que crezca.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Para entenderlo mejor podemos dividir el ciclo de la mujer en dos fases, proliferativa que es el momento en el que los ovocitos comienzan a crecer hasta quedar un fol\u00edculo dominante, en ese momento se produce un pico de LH que provocar\u00e1 la ovulaci\u00f3n. El \u00f3vulo comenzar\u00e1 a predominar la progesterona que prepara al endometrio para un posible embarazo.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">En las mujeres que sufren ovario poliqu\u00edstico, los andr\u00f3genos no logran convertirse en estr\u00f3genos, por lo tanto, habr\u00e1 un descenso de la FSH. De igual manera, la hormona anti m\u00fclleriana, una hormona que tambi\u00e9n producen los fol\u00edculos, tambi\u00e9n tendr\u00e1 niveles altos, que tambi\u00e9n inhiben la conversi\u00f3n de andr\u00f3genos a estr\u00f3genos. De igual forma, la insulina parece tener interferencia en la producci\u00f3n de andr\u00f3genos, por esta raz\u00f3n, la diabetes de cualquier tipo es un factor para el <\/span><span style=\"color: #995757;\"><b>S\u00edndrome de Ovario Poliqu\u00edstico<\/b><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p><h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #0f3653;\"><strong>\u00bfHay tratamiento?<\/strong><\/span><\/h3><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Su diagn\u00f3stico debe de ir acompa\u00f1ado siempre de un tratamiento personalizado, ya que su sintomatolog\u00eda cambia de mujer a mujer.
